What it does
A clear status on every post
Each post moves through clear states you can see on the calendar and in the post itself: Draft, Waiting for approval, Scheduled, Publishing, Published, Retrying and Needs you. Published posts link straight to the live post on the platform.
Pre-flight checks before anything is scheduled
Skylane checks each version of your post against the rules of its network before it is scheduled: caption and title length, media format, file size, duration, aspect ratio, number of images, required fields such as a YouTube title or TikTok privacy setting, and whether the account connection is healthy.

Automatic retries for temporary problems
Platforms sometimes time out, rate-limit or have short outages. When an error is temporary, Skylane waits and tries again automatically. You only hear about it if it still cannot publish.
Failures you can understand and fix in one click
When a post fails, Skylane translates the platform's error into a plain-English reason and the next step - for example "This video is longer than TikTok allows for your account. Trim it to 10 minutes or less." Once fixed, retry in one click.
Reconnect warnings before connections lapse
Platform access tokens expire or get revoked - after a password change, a permissions change or simply on the platform's own timetable. Skylane watches every connection and warns you 7 days before a token expires and as soon as an account needs reconnecting.

Every alert is off by default. For each event, choose the channels you want: email, in-app, Slack, Discord or your own webhook.

Temporary errors are retried automatically several times over a short window. Errors that need you, such as an expired connection, are not retried blindly - you are told straight away.
Only if you ask them to. All alerts are off by default, and the daily and weekly digests let you get one summary instead of individual emails.
