Steps

    Contributor: write the post

In Compose, write the post, choose the accounts and time, and fix anything the pre-flight checks flag.

  2. Step 2

    Contributor: submit it

Click Submit for approval. The post shows Waiting for approval and will not publish until it is approved.

Diagram: on the Compose screen, press Submit for approval.
  3. Step 3

    Approver: get told

Switch on the Approval requested alert in Settings, then Notifications, to get an email or in-app alert.

  4. Step 4

    Approver: review

Click Approvals in the left-hand menu. Each waiting post is listed, with Open the post to see it in full.

Where to find it in Skylane
    1. Approvals
  5. Step 5

    Approver: decide

Add a note in Comment if you like, then click Approve and schedule. To send it back, write what needs changing in Comment and click Request changes - a comment is required.

  6. Step 6

    Contributor: make changes

Posts sent back return to Drafts with the comment. Edit and click Submit for approval again.

Good to know

  • A post still waiting at its scheduled time is not published. Approve it and pick a new time.
  • Client approval links, where a client approves without a Skylane login, are listed on the Agency plan but are not switched on in the app yet.

Common problems

"Approvals are part of the Growth plan and above"

Upgrade in Settings, then Plan and billing, or ask an Editor to schedule the post.
