Install Skylane on your phone

Skylane works as an app on your phone and computer. Once it is installed it opens in its own window from your home screen, can send you push alerts, and on Android you can share photos, videos and links straight into a new draft. There is nothing to download from an app store.

iPhone and iPad

You need Safari and iOS or iPadOS 16.4 or later. Other browsers on iPhone cannot add web apps with push alerts.

  1. Open Safari and go to skylane.moneymasterhq.com/app. Sign in if you are asked to.
  2. Tap the Share button. On iPhone it is the square with an arrow pointing up, at the bottom of the screen. On iPad it is at the top right.
  3. Scroll down the list and tap Add to Home Screen.
  4. Check the name says Skylane, then tap Add in the top right corner.
  5. Go to your Home Screen and open Skylane from its new icon. Always open it from this icon, not from Safari, so push alerts can work.

Turn on push alerts on iPhone

  1. Open Skylane from your Home Screen icon.
  2. Go to Settings, then Notifications.
  3. Under Push alerts on your devices, tap Turn on push alerts on this device.
  4. When iOS asks, tap Allow.
  5. In the alerts table, switch on Push for each alert you want, then tap Save email, in-app and push alerts.
  6. Tap Send test notification to check it works.

If you tapped Don't Allow by mistake, open the iPhone Settings app, tap Notifications, tap Skylane and switch on Allow Notifications.

Sharing photos into Skylane on iPhone

iOS does not let web apps appear in the Share menu, so you cannot send a photo from the Photos app to Skylane. Instead:

  1. Open Skylane and tap Compose.
  2. Tap Upload from Photos under Media.
  3. Choose Photo Library and pick your photos or videos, then tap Add.

Android

You need Chrome, Edge or Samsung Internet.

  1. Open Chrome and go to skylane.moneymasterhq.com/app. Sign in if you are asked to.
  2. On the dashboard, tap Install Skylane on the install card. If you do not see the card, tap the three dots menu at the top right and tap Install app (some phones say Add to Home screen).
  3. Tap Install.
  4. Open Skylane from your home screen or app drawer.

Turn on push alerts on Android

  1. In Skylane, go to Settings, then Notifications.
  2. Under Push alerts on your devices, tap Turn on push alerts on this device, then tap Allow.
  3. In the alerts table, switch on Push for each alert you want, then tap Save email, in-app and push alerts.
  4. Tap Send test notification to check it works.
  1. In any app (Photos, Gallery, Chrome, YouTube and so on), tap Share.
  2. Tap Skylane in the list. You may need to tap More the first time.
  3. Skylane opens a New draft with your photos or videos uploaded and the text or link filled in.
  4. Tap Continue in the composer, choose your accounts and a time, then schedule it.

If you are not signed in, Skylane keeps what you shared on your phone and shows Sign in to finish sharing. Sign in and the draft carries on from where you left it.

Computer (Chrome or Edge)

  1. Open skylane.moneymasterhq.com/app and sign in.
  2. Click Install Skylane on the dashboard card, or click the install icon at the right of the address bar.
  3. Click Install. Skylane opens in its own window and appears in your Start menu, Dock or app launcher.

Push alerts also work in the normal browser tab on a computer, in Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari. Turn them on in Settings, then Notifications.

Which alerts can come by push?

Every alert is off by default, for push as well as email and in-app. You choose each one: post published, post failed, account needs reconnecting, connection expiring in 7 days, queue running low, approval requested, approval decided, and the daily or weekly digest. Alerts are set per workspace. See Notifications and alerts.

Offline

Your scheduled posts are published by Skylane's servers, so they still go out when your phone is off or offline. If you open the app without a connection you will see a short "You are offline" page. Reconnect and tap Try again.

Remove Skylane from a device

  • iPhone: press and hold the Skylane icon, tap Remove App, then Delete from Home Screen.
  • Android: press and hold the icon, then tap Uninstall or drag it to Uninstall.
  • Computer: in the Skylane window, open the menu at the top right and choose Uninstall Skylane.

To stop push alerts to a device you no longer have, go to Settings, then Notifications on any device and tap Remove next to it.
