Before you start

  • Alerts are set per person and per workspace. Switch workspace at the top left first if you have more than one.

Steps

  1. Step 1

    Open Notifications

In the left-hand menu under Settings, click Notifications.

  2. Step 2

Switch on the events you want

In the Alerts table, each row is an event and each column a channel. Switch on Email, In-app, Push or any mix for the events you want, for example Post failed (with reason and one-click retry).

  3. Step 3

    Save

Click Save email, in-app and push alerts. A message confirms they are saved.

  4. Step 4

Turn on push for this device (optional)

Under Push alerts on your devices, click Turn on push alerts on this device and allow notifications when asked. Then click Send test notification. On iPhone, add Skylane to your Home Screen first: see Install Skylane on your phone.

  5. Step 5

Add Slack, Discord or your own webhook (admins)

Workspace admins can also send alerts to a team channel. Follow Send alerts to Slack or Discord or Receive webhooks and check signatures.

Good to know

  • Accounts that need reconnecting and failed posts always show on your Dashboard, whatever you choose.
  • Too many emails? Turn off single events and switch on Daily digest instead.
  • Security, billing and account emails are always sent.
