Before you start

  • For your profile: your LinkedIn sign-in.
  • For a company page: you are a page admin with the Super admin or Content admin role. Analysts cannot post. See Get the right admin role on a LinkedIn Page.
  • You are the owner or an admin of the Skylane workspace. Other roles cannot connect accounts.

Steps

  1. Step 1

    Open Accounts in Skylane

In the left-hand menu, click Accounts. Scroll to the Connect an account section, where each network has its own card.

    1. Accounts
    2. Connect an account
  2. Step 2

    Click Connect profile or page

On the LinkedIn card, click Connect profile or page. LinkedIn's sign-in screen opens.

  3. Step 3

    Sign in and click Allow

Sign in to LinkedIn and click Allow to give Skylane access.

  4. Step 4

    Choose what to add

Back in Skylane, a box called Choose what to add from LinkedIn appears. Tick each one you want to schedule to - each counts as one social account on your plan - then click the Add button (it shows how many you ticked, for example Add 1 account). Your profile and every page you can post to are listed.

  5. Step 5

    Check it says Connected

Under Connected accounts, your profile or page now shows a green Connected badge. You can click Queue times next to it to set the days and times you like to post.

    2. Connected accounts

Good to know

  • LinkedIn connections expire on LinkedIn's timetable, about once a year. Skylane warns you 7 days before.
  • If your page role changes, posts to that page fail until a Super admin restores it and you click Reconnect.

Common problems

My company page is not in the list

Your role on that page cannot post. Ask a Super admin to make you a Content admin, then click Reconnect.

"LinkedIn refused access - you may not have the right Page role"

Follow Get the right admin role on a LinkedIn Page, then reconnect.

"LinkedIn blocked this as a duplicate"

LinkedIn rejects the same text posted twice in a short time. Change the text and retry.
