Before you start
- A TikTok account. Personal, Creator and Business accounts can all connect.
- The TikTok app is up to date on your phone.
- You are the owner or an admin of the Skylane workspace. Other roles cannot connect accounts.
Steps
- Step 1
Open Accounts in Skylane
In the left-hand menu, click Accounts. Scroll to the Connect an account section, where each network has its own card.

Click Connect TikTok
On the TikTok card, click Connect TikTok. TikTok's official login screen opens.

Sign in and approve posting
Sign in to TikTok and approve every permission, including posting videos. If you untick posting, Skylane cannot publish.

Choose what to add
Back in Skylane, a box called Choose what to add from TikTok appears. Tick each one you want to schedule to - each counts as one social account on your plan - then click the Add button (it shows how many you ticked, for example Add 1 account).

Check it says Connected
Under Connected accounts, your TikTok account now shows a green Connected badge. You can click Queue times next to it to set the days and times you like to post.

Choose privacy for each post
TikTok requires you to pick who can see each post yourself - Skylane never picks for you. Follow Choose TikTok privacy and disclosure settings when you write your first TikTok post.
Good to know
- After publishing, TikTok may take a few minutes to process your video. Skylane shows Processing on TikTok until it is live.
- TikTok sets the longest video each account can post, and limits how many posts an account can publish through apps each day.
Common problems
"Skylane does not have permission to post to TikTok"
Click Reconnect next to the account in Accounts and allow video posting when TikTok asks.
"Your TikTok app is too old"
Update the TikTok app from your app store, then retry the post.
"TikTok has blocked this account from posting"
Open the TikTok app to see why. Skylane cannot post until TikTok lifts the block.
